The new house!

We moved into our new home the last week in January. We are really loving it...especially after living in our tiny little duplex for 7 months. It is nice to be able to move without bumping into each other all the time!

The front, the back and the "back, back"--quite a swamp during the spring thaw (right by the river), but a fun place to play and explore!

Busy, busy!

This winter Jacob played on a basketball team for the first time. We'll keep working on those fundamentals, but they did pretty well and certainly improved from the first game to the last...that's what it's all about!

In school Jacob participated in the boys singing team. They had a chance to perform the Star Spangled Banner before a local hockey game. They had a great time!

Rachel decided to try soccer for the first time this year. It has been ridiculously cold or rainy for all but one game this year. Maybe by the last game in June we will actually have some decent weather!
I went with Rachel's class on a spring field trip to a local conservation center to look for spring wildflowers. We had a pretty good day and did find some flowers, but nobody was dressed quite warmly enough...it was cold that day too!
